When creating the prototype and tool chain for Funkydilla, we needed an audio tool that would cope easily with the extensive MIDI and audio requirements of the game’s proprietary audio engine. We had to create non-linear music with 30+ tracks that would be able to play concurrently in any combination and also be able to export detailed MIDI files that could be imported into the game as a foundation of the level design. Logic was more than up to the task, and we used Logic’s advanced MIDI features and internal EXS24 sample player extensively.
